FEB 6TH 2010 - CMVPA HELPS STRANDED MV OWNER - DAY 1
 As some of you heard, Rob and I drove up to northern VA to help out with a guy on SteelSoldiers that had a Duece break down down on 95. He had it towed to a garage that wasnt experienced in MV's. It was a great 3 1/2 hour drive in a blizzard and a learning experiance. 

 We went to help James with his M35A2 he was driving from PA to FL. He got to north of Richmond and shut off. Eastern Surplus checked the truck out did a bunch of work and serviced it but the batteries were very loose on the terminal and fried the voltage regulator on the alternator. We got the truck running great but with not being able to have a working alternator and the very bad road conditions we called it a day. I drove Rob and James back to Wilson. Rob put James up for the night at his home and drove him to the airport on the feb 7th to catch a flight back to FL. James is a active duty Navy pilot and had to report back in by 1200hrs Sunday night.

 Rob and I are driving back up Wed. with a alternator and some equipment to bring James's M35A2 + M105A2  back down to Wilson. James will fly back up Feb 19th and finish his trip home.
 
 This is what the hobby should be all about. Helping out each other and preserving Military Vehicles. Im very happy to help and I know Rob was too.

FEB 20TH 2010 - CMVPA HELPS STRANDED MV OWNER -AFTER ACTION REPORT 
After 5 days of work and about 800 miles of travelling back and fourth from Virginia twice, John Winslows (for trans install) and White Owl twice (for parts) we finally got James T back on the road to Florida. We only had to put in an alternator, transmission, compressor gasket, repair main air line and alot of misc PM. This is what the CMVPA is about......Helping others.
